In short: we keep what you log so the app works, show it only to the people you choose, and nothing else. No ads, no tracking, nothing sold. You can download everything or delete your account in Settings.

What we keep, and why

What	Why
Your email address	To send your sign-in codes. Nobody else sees it.
Your name and color	So people know it's you.
What you log: sessions, coffees, taste notes, ratings, notes, photos	That's the app. Each session is for Everyone, Friends & groups, or Only me, and you choose separately for notes and photos.
Comments, likes, follows, communities	The social parts of the app.
Your equipment, favorites and recipes	Your profile shows your equipment and favorites; recipes and last setups stay private to you.
Reports you make	To review them. The person you report isn't told who reported them.
Your phone's notification address, if you turn notifications on	To send you notifications. Turn them off and it's deleted.

Photos are re-drawn on your phone before they're uploaded, which removes the location and camera details phones hide inside pictures.

What we don't do

No ads, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
No tracking or analytics tools, and we don't ask for your location or contacts.

Who handles it for us

Supabase stores the data and photos and runs sign-in (servers in the United States).
GitHub Pages serves the app's web pages.
Gmail sends sign-in code emails (this will move to a dedicated email service).
Apple and Google deliver notifications to phones that turned them on.

Like any website, these services keep short technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect themselves.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it or your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, sessions, coffees (unless someone else logged sessions on one; it passes to them), comments, likes, photos and follows. Encrypted backups are kept for up to 30 days, then they're gone too.

Your choices

Change who sees any session, note, photo or comment at any time.
Make your profile private, so you approve who follows you.
Download everything that's yours, or delete your account: Settings, under your account.
People in the EU, the UK and California have legal rights to access, correct and delete their data; these controls cover them, and you can also contact us.

Children

Dialed In is for people 13 and older. If you think someone younger has an account, report their profile and we'll remove it.
